Please Note: Our actual VIDEO CONTENT IS STILL RIGHT HANDED as Scotty is a right handed player. However all the support materials and fingering charts have been reformatted for left handed players.
The challenges lefties face are numerous. Traditionally there has been a very small selection of left handed instruments. This is starting to change due to an increase in mass production of student model guitars from Asia and Mexico. Manufacturers are now including left handed models in these production runs. Once left handed guitars were a custom shop only item. Still manufacturers and stores alike tend to charge a premium for left handed instruments. They blame the costs and availability on the fact that there are so few left handed guitarists in comparison to right handed guitarists. Many instructors shy away from teaching left handed players because of the need to continually hand write mirror image scale and chord charts, there are virtually no complete methods, never mind chord charts and diagrams out there for lefties. With the popularity of the AUG complete video home study guitar method it is only natural that we would want to encourage learning for all aspiring musicians and we apologize to the left handed musicians for taking so long to realize your need for a comprehensive left handed guitar method.
We are proud to introduce the Left Handed Edition of the AUG Method. 32 Hours of video instruction, 32 printed lessons and all of the support materials including charts of scales, chords and arpeggios and Scotty's famous music slide rule have been re-imagined exclusively for left handed players. These lefty charts will be delivered along with a left handed version of the complete fingerboard, all the note names on it with color coded notes just like in the original AUG method only reversed for left handed players. This is the biggest revision yet of the best selling and highest regarded guitar method available. We are accepting orders for the left handed edition of AUG now.
Just like in the right handed edition you get a choice between the complete set of printed text materials or in the print it yourself version a CD of printable lesson materials in PDF format along with the 32 hours of DVD video and Scotty's Famous Music Slide rule. All of this available at the same low prices as the traditional right handed method.
